EPP CONDEMNS ETA TERRORIST ATTACK IN SPAIN

The President and the Secretary General of the European People’s Party (EPP), Wilfried Martens and Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, strongly condemned today the terrorist attack of ETA in Bilbao, which has caused injuries to one person.

“We express our solidarity to the victim and his family. This bombing is a new and unjustified attack against the Spanish people and the democratic system in Spain”, they stated.

“The EPP has always strengthened and supported all the initiatives of the European Union (EU) for the fight against terrorism and will continue doing so”, Martens and Lopez-Isturiz added.

“As a result of this new attack, the EPP will be following very closely the political situation in Spain”, they concluded.

EL PPE CONDENA EL ÚLTIMO ATENTADO DE ETA

El Presidente y el Secretario General del Partido Popular Europeo (PPE), Wilfried Martens y Antonio López-Isturiz, han condenado firmemente el atentado cometido hoy en Bilbao por la banda terrorista ETA, que ha provocado heridas a una persona.

“Expresamos nuestra solidaridad con la víctima del atentado y con su familia. Este atentado es un nuevo e injustificado ataque contra el pueblo español y contra el sistema democrático en España”, aseguraron Martens y Lopez-Isturiz.

“El PPE siempre ha impulsado y apoyado todas las iniciativas desarrolladas por la Unión Europea (UE) para combatir el terrorismo y continuará haciéndolo”, añadieron.

“Tras este atentado, el PPE seguirá de cerca la situación política en España”, concluyeron Martens y Lopez-Isturiz.
